State police in Clearfield County say a Curwensville man is behind bars after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl and took nude photographs of her.

Police say earlier this week, troopers received a report that the teen was solicited for nude photographs and "lured" from her home to engage in sexual activity by 47-year-old Robert Mallon III.

Investigators say Mallon allegedly began contacting the teen, via Snapchat, in which he reportedly requested sexual photos from her.

Authorities say on Jan. 5, the teen admitted to "sneaking out" of her home to meet with Mallon.

According to the affidavit, troopers say Mallon reportedly assaulted the teen, inside his truck, and then took several nude photographs of the victim and told her to "show them to the boys at school."

Police say the victim was reportedly able to describe Mallon's truck, and troopers reportedly identified him in one of the pictures through evidence of a physical injury.

Troopers say when they questioned Mallon about the alleged assault, he "never" denied the accusations.

According to online court records, Mallon was arraigned Thursday on various charges, including statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, photographing sex acts involving a child and child luring.

He is being held in the Clearfield County Jail on $500,000 bail.
