Ebensburg man accused of sending sexually explicit pictures to teens on Snapchat

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — State police say a 42-year-old Ebensburg man is accused of sending sexually explicit pictures of himself to two teenage girls on Snapchat.
According to multiple criminal complaints in the case, Andrew Brothers faces charges related to corruption of minors, disseminating explicit sexual material to a minor, and unlawful contact with a minor.
Troopers say they were called to a Patton Borough home in Cambria County Aug. 18 where they spoke with a mother who told them Brothers had sent her daughter sexually explicit pictures of himself on Snapchat and told the girl he wanted to have sexual relations with her.
The woman told troopers that she became aware of Brothers through the mother of her daughter’s friend who was also friends with Brothers on Snapchat, state police say.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman told troopers that Brothers knew that both girls were minors.
The woman told troopers that Brothers worked for the United Postal Service and had sent a full picture of himself while driving his UPS vehicle which the teen was able to screenshot, the complaint says.
Troopers say they viewed the Snapchat picture of Brothers and matched it to his driver’s license photo.
According to state police, investigators then went to a home in Clearfield Township to interview the other alleged victim.
Troopers say the teen told them she had met Brothers in June when he showed up to ride utility terrain vehicles with her older sister and her older sister’s male friend.
The teen explained that she exchanged Snapchat accounts with Brothers because she believed they’d be “side-by-side riding friends,” according to the complaint.
Then in July, the teen said, Brothers started sending her sexually explicit pictures of himself and it happened five or six times, according to state police.
According to court documents, Brothers is being held in the Cambria County Prison after he couldn’t post bail.
He has a preliminary hearing slated for Sept. 6.
