Localized flooding causing road closures throughout the area
Emergency officials throughout our area have received numerous calls for flooded roadways as heavy rainfall continues to fall.
Multiple rounds of heavy rain have moved through the area over the past few days. Most of the region has picked up over 2.5 inches of rain in just the past day, prompting flood watches, warnings, and advisories.
The steadiest rain will taper off later in the day on Wednesday with just a few lingering showers throughout the rest of the week.
Current waterways experiencing flooding will begin to see improvements by Thursday morning as rain slows down.
According to state and local officials, the following roadways have been impacted by flooding within the past 24-48 hours.
BEDFORD
- Brallier Station Road at Big Bend Beach Road in Hopewell Township
- Cooks Mill Road at Dusty Lane in Londonderry Township
- White Pine Road in East St. Clair Township
- Rabbit Lane at Younts and Dively roads in Bedford Township
- Diehl Road at Allegheny and Boozer roads in Juniata Township
- Diehl Road from Union to Hyndman roads in Harrison Township
- Adams Run Road from Reynoldsdale Road to 2nd Street in Reynoldsdale
BLAIR
- Route 22 is closed between Frankstown Road and Canoe Creek State Park. Reservoir Road (at Frankstown Road/Route 22 intersection) is also closed below Route 22.
- Juniata River Road, Upper Reese Road and Loop Road have also been impacted
- Route 453 (Birmingham Pike), between the Route 550 and Route 22 intersections is also closed, according to 511PA.
CAMBRIA
- Route 160 near the Wilmore Dam
- Route 53 closed between Portage and Lilly due to damaged roadway from stormwater

- 900 block of Penns Creek Rd (SR 2012) in Penn Township
- Penns Creeks/Long Lane in Penn Township
- Marsh Creek Road between Orviston Mountain Road & Howard Divide Road
- 4200 block & 3200 block of Buffalo Run Rd (SR 550) in Patton Township
- 3100 block Marengo Road in Halfmoon Township
- Fox Hollow Road (SR 3005) from Toftrees Ave. in Patton Township to Big Hollow Road in College Township
CLEARFIELD
- Route 219 in Burnside Township between the intersections of Solley Road and Rager Road
- Route 3004 (Sylvis Road) in Burnside Township between the intersections of Route 219 and Line Road
- Route 3005 (Cherry Corner Road) in Greenwood Township between the intersections of Route 969 and Watts Road
- Route 53 in Irvona Borough between the intersections of Henry’s Road and Route 3005 (St. Lawrence Road)
- Route 1003 (Mount Zion Road) in Lawrence Township between the intersections of 104th Calvary Road and Route 322
- St. Lawrence Road between the intersections of Route 53 and Market Street in Irvona Borough and Becarria Township
ELK
HUNTINGDON
- Route 26 closed between War Vets Memorial Field in Huntingdon Borough and Stone Creek Ridge Road in Miller Township

- Voluntary evacuation ordered for Sherman Street and Adams Street in Clymer Borough
- Route 403 between the intersection of Franklin Street to Adams Adams Street in Clymer Borough
- Route 1014 (Wandin Road/Pine Flats Road) between the intersection of Hill Road and Route 580 in Green Twp to 580
- Route 954 between the intersection of Indiana Road in Creekside Boro and Kunkle Road, Stuchell Road in Washington Township.
- Route 3056 (Old Route 56/Main Street/Elm Street/Ridge Avenue) between the intersection of Cooper Street in Homer City Borough and Riverside Avenue in Center Township

- Sections of Mount Davis Road, Large Street, Mason Dixon Highway, Glade City and Pine Hill Road have all been impacted as well
- Williams Street and Logan Place are also closed off due to flooding
The continuous rain and localized flooding has also prompted several area schools to dismiss early.
Motorists are advised to avoid an unnecessary travel and to "Turn Around, Don't Drown."
