One officer killed, one injured following shooting in McKeesport

Pittsburgh (WPXI) — Authorities say one police officer was killed and another was injured in a shooting Monday near Pittsburgh.

Officials say the officers were responding to a domestic situation in McKeesport when a man opened fire on the officers.

Authorities say one officer died and the other remains hospitalized following surgery.

Police say the gunman was also shot and his condition has not been released.

Both officers are members of the McKeesport Police Department.
