Somerset Masonic temple hosts Karnival 4 Kids fundraiser

The Somerset Masonic Temple held a Karnival 4 Kids event on Sunday.
Over 400 people visited the event which featured a carnival theme with many attractions including professional clowns, magicians and even fortune tellers.
However, the event was not only for fun. Each year temple members choose a worthy cause fir the year’s fundraisers and this year they chose the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia and Down syndrome charities.
“The carnival theme was selected by our Deputy Grand Matron, Deb Kinney, who also had a child in Children’s Hospital at one time," said J. David McKibben, Worthy Grand Patron Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania of Eastern Star. "We invited the community to come out and just have a fun time at a carnival type event to enjoy themselves and at the same time to raise moneys for our special projects.”
