Texas man paints entire house his favorite color, pink

PFLUGERVILLE, Tx. — A Texas neighborhood isn't so tickled pink about a new addition to the area.

But the homeowner, Emilio Rodriguez, doesn't care what you or anyone else thinks.

Rodriguez purchased the home in Plugerville, Texas, in November. He says he was strategic when on the hunt for a new house.

"No HOA. No HOA. I preplanned this specifically because of that reason, so when people get mad I explain there is no HOA here," said Rodriguez.

Without a homeowners association in the neighborhood, if people don't like the pink pad the only thing they can do is file a lawsuit against Rodriguez.

The walls, roof, even the gutters are coated in bright pink paint, Rodriguez says it's his favorite color. He even has the color tattooed on his body and neck.

Rodriguez says it's his dream home, and is part of the keep Austin weird vibe.

"That's what people are saying. They're like why are people so freaked out, have they never been to Austin?" said Rodriguez.
